After getting all the key dimensions sorted in the previous section, we're now set to make LoadMate even more personalised. Section 4 of our guide is all about personalising your vehicle's storage locations.

4. Personalise your vehicles storage locations

The accuracy of LoadMate's recommendations relies heavily on the initial setup. While LoadMate will suggest several storage locations for load placement in your vehicle, personalising these based on your actual setup will help you maximise the application's potential.

Think about the spots in your vehicle where you tend to store the heaviest items. Being exact is great, but don't worry if you can't get the measurements down to the millimeter. A close estimate is far better than having no measurement at all because you're striving for perfection. Ultimately, the objective here is to enhance weight distribution and overall stability, paving the way for a safer and more efficient towing experience.

Keep in mind that all dimensions should be measured in relation to the center of the rear axles. Any measurement towards the front of the vehicle (nose) should be entered as a positive number, while any measurement towards the back of the vehicle (tow hitch) should be entered as a negative number.

Let's keep a few things in mind:

-         All dimensions should be in relation to the center of the rear axles.

-         Any measurement towards the front of the vehicle (nose) should be entered as a positive number.

-         Any measurement towards the back of the vehicle (tow hitch) should be entered as a negative number.

LoadMate provides you with the following pre-populated storage areas that you can adjust according to your needs:

  • Front Cabin
  • Rear Cabin
  • Boot or Tray
  • Tow Hitch

Now that we have tailored the storage locations in your vehicle, the next step is to focus on your caravan. In the upcoming Section 5, we will dive into personalising your caravan's storage locations. This will allow LoadMate to create an even more precise and efficient plan for load placement and weight distribution in your caravan.

Remember, the more accurate we can make these storage locations, the better LoadMate will work for you. So let's keep the momentum going and move on to personalising your caravan's load locations.
